Did you know that the leading cause of death in people with Autism is drowning?

Too often children with autism who wander are attracted to water.
Does your child know how to swim unassisted?

Sensory Swim
combines the life-saving skills of teaching our students how to swim, along with having a great time! These private swim lessons strive to improve our students' gross motor skills, endurance, strength and coordination. And in some cases, there are sensory integration issues with the water, so the lesson is designed to put the student at ease in the water. Each student is taught on an individual basis to reach their goals, where they can just learn the basics, or go on to improve their strokes and diving technique. In any case, we make sure they enjoy themselves.

Sensory Swim is a one of a kind swim program for children, teens and adults with physical , mental or emotional special needs. Sensory Swim provides unique experiences through physical and recreational activities to children with a variety of special needs who may otherwise be excluded. Sensory Swim is designed and instructed by Mary & Andrew who are both special educators who have worked in physical and occupational therapy settings for a long time. This program was formed so students are able to enjoy sports, recreational activities and swimming lessons in a safe and friendly environment.

All classes are one on one.
